Launched in 2014 by Lyrix Organix (Glastonbury/British Council), UnFOLD is a platform where outstanding young poets are invited to collaborate with contemporary classical musicians, percussionists and visual artists.

UnFOLD is a combined-arts artist development programme championing young British spoken word artists - collaborating with classical string musicians, percussionists and visual artists. A versatile AV production acclaimed by audiences for its multidisciplinary approach. This activity will take UnFOLD to the next level with a nationwide tour of diverse venues; to cross-pollinate and challenge audiences in live music, contemporary classical, literature and education. A platform for youth, language and art as vehicles for social change (timed to coincide with National Poetry Day theme of ‘Change’)

The project has taken many shapes in everything from being invited by Kate Tempest at Brighton festival, a sold out Roundhouse (Sackler Space) to a book collection, an acclaimed live AV show, animated music videos and a London Symphony Orchestra collaboration for Barbican's OpenFest. In 2018 UnFOLD will release a second EP with exclusive materials from some of the most remarkable young poets of our time. "UnFold transcends genres and challenge diverse audiences, young and old. The versatile live show glides seamlessly between spoken word, urban, jazz and contemporary classical.
